Day 1: Drive to Dhampus and trek to Forest Camp

Your very short trek to Mardi Himal begins with a scenic drive from your hotel in Pokhara to Dhampus, a very beautiful village. From Dhampus, you’ll start your trek towards Forest Camp. The trail winds through lush rhododendron forests, offering glimpses of the surrounding mountains along the way. After a few hours of hiking, you’ll reach Forest Camp, where you’ll spend the night amidst the tranquil surroundings of the forest.

The total distance from Dhampus to Forest Camp is 12 kilometers (7.46 miles). Regarding walking duration, it takes approximately 6 to 7 hours to walk. Stay overnight at a teahouse in Forest Camp.

If you can walk fast, we can also reach Mardi Himal Base Camp, 4500 meters. The trail to the viewpoint is steep and challenging, but the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains make it all worth it. From the viewpoint, you’ll be treated to unparalleled vistas of the Annapurna range, including towering peaks like Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South.

After soaking in the majestic scenery, you’ll begin your descent towards Siding Village. Upon reaching Siding Village, you’ll bid farewell to the mountains and hop on a vehicle for the drive back to Pokhara, where you can relax and reminisce about your unforgettable trekking experience.

The total distance from High Camp to Siding Via Mardi Himal View Point is approximately 14 kilometers (8.6 miles). It takes approximately 9 to 10 hours to walk.
