Khopra trek is newly open trekking trails of Annapurna trek, from Khopra Danda from where will go hike for Khayar Lake. Its provides equally outstanding views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fang, and Nilgiri. This trek is also popular to visit Khayar Lake. So it is also called Khayar Lake trek. Khopra is Name of Place and Danda is Nepali word of Ridge. It is close to Ghorepani Poon hill trek. It is also called Khayar lake trek.
We will hike from Khopra Danda to Khayar lake to see mountains from near and to view Khayar Lake. Khayar Lake is a Holy lake. So people also called Khopra trek is the holy trek. Nayapul is the starting point and Pokhara is the ending point of Khopra Danda trek. If you want to fly Kathmandu to Pokhara, it takes 25 minutes. We can go directly Kathmandu to trekking starting point Nayapul using Bus or Microbus. Kathmandu to Nayapaul takes about 10 hours by driving.
There is a natural good hot spring near Jhinu Danda. You can feel hot experience after the cold trek. Locals people believe that hot spring is good for health.
Mostly there are Gurung and Magar people in the trekking area. There are also Brahmans and Chhetris other groups of people in this area.
Khopra itinerary will be 5 to 12 days according to your choice from Kathmandu to Kathmandu. But if you want to do this trek in 5 to 8 days, you need strong health. In 10 days you can do Khopra danda trek including Ghorepani Poonhill trek.
