ABC Overview

Annapurna First and Machhapurchhre mountain is the main most highlighted mountain of Annapurna base camp trek. Annapurna first is 10th highest mountain in the world.

Machhapuchre is the holy mountain of this trek. Space of this mountain is like fish’s tail so it’s called Fishtail in English. Himalayan Thar, Langur Monkey, Musk Deer, Snow Leopards and varieties of birds we can see during the base camp trek.

We can get the normal standard hotel(teahouse) at ABC trek. Until Chhomrung we can get attached bathroom but from Chhomrung hotel are normal and there has a common toilet/bathroom. Hotel is limited after crossing the Sinuwa.

How to go and back ?

Kathmandu is the starting point and Pokhara is the ending point of Annapurna Base Camp. If you want to fly Kathmandu to Pokhara, it takes 25 minutes. We can go directly Kathmandu to trekking starting point Nayapul using Bus or Microbus. Kathmandu to Nayapaul takes about 10 hours by driving.

Except for monsoon season, we can do this trek. But September to mid-December and February to April is the best time for this trek.

How difficult is ABC Hiking ?

Its moderate grade of the trek. Normal fitness is required for this trek. We will have enough acclimatization before ABC. This plan is considered the acclimatization for Altitude Sickness.

How many days we need to do ABC Hiking ?

Annapurna Base Camp itinerary will be 6 to 10 days according to your choice from Kathmandu to Kathmandu. But if you want to do this trek in 7 to 8 days, you need strong physical fitness. In 12 days you can do ABC trekking including Marvelous Ghorepani Poonhill trek. You can also extend days using another trekking route 2 days more using Landruk, Tolka, Deurali, Pothana, and Dhampus. But in 6 days we will go directly base camp and return back the same route until trekking finished point.

Hot Spring

There is a natural good hot spring near Jhinu Danda. You can feel hot experience after the cold trek. Locals people believe that hot spring is good for health.
